Instant Pot Apple Cider
Its Fall Y’all! And what better way to start off sweater weather than with warm apple cider? I know its the beginning of October, and it seems like it’s still summer out. But, this weekend should be cooling down. So get your Instant Pots out and make some homemade Warm Apple Cider in less than 30 minutes!
A few weeks ago I picked up some apples from the farmer’s market and tested this recipe out. When I started researching apple cider recipes, I found that there are a lot of different ingredients that can be added to customize the cider. The base is obviously apples, but there are so many different types out there. I kind of went with my gut and used gala and golden delicious apples. I added an orange for some extra sweetness and tang, but other fruits can be added like pomegranate seeds, cranberries, or even a lemon! Traditional apple cider tends to only have cinnamon, but cloves and star anises add some more spice. Most recipes added some sort of sweetener like brown sugar, honey, or maple syrup, but I chose to omit a sweetener and still loved the cider!
