Masala Puri Puffs
Diwali is coming up in a few weeks, and these masala puri puffs are delicious to snack on! Not only do they pair perfectly with chai, but they are simple to make! You only need a few ingredients and most of them are in your pantry.
Simply make the masala ghee spread by combining the melted ghee with the spices and seeds! Spread an even layer on the pasty sheet and then roll the sheet into a log. Cut rolls about 1/2 inch apart, and then use the bottom of a glass to push and flatten the roll. This will create the spiral pattern of the puri! Bake for about 12 minutes and that is it! You have these flavorful masala puri puffs in less than 30 minutes!
A few ingredient notes:
– No ghee, no problem. You can use melted butter or olive oil as well.
– If you don’t have all the spices listed in the recipe, use what you have on hand.
– Thaw the pastry sheet according to the directions. I have used both Trader Joe’s and Pepperidge Farm pastry sheets, and both worked well.
